Chemical Peel Aftercare

It is important you don’t generate any additional heat during the first 48hrs as the layers of your skin have just been exfoliated. Exposing a fresh new layer of your skin will be more susceptible to burning.

• Avoid exercise and hot baths
• Sunscreen is a must whenever you leave the house, even if you’re only getting in and out of the car.
• Avoid the use of harsh exfoliants or active cleansers for 2 weeks after your treatment.
• Avoid topical medications such as Ziana, Atralin and Differin for 10 days following your treatment
• As skin begins to flake and peel, do not pull, scrub or pick at skin. There are do-it yourself chemical peels on the market, but it is always a good idea to see a trained professional.

Do’s and Don’ts
Do treat your skin gently
Do be extra careful when the skin is wet
Do wear sunscreen after a chemical peel
Do limit your time outdoors
Don’t pick or pull at the flakey skin

Dermaplaning Aftercare

There are no side effects and zero down time. After the treatment, your skin will be highly sensitive to sun exposure and may already look very pink, so be sure to wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher to reduce the risk of hyperpigmentation
